This month, we’re embracing the richness of winter - hazelnut cream, melted cheese, spiced cider and the bold, earthy flavour of fresh black truffle.
At the centre of it all is local gem, Robertson Truffles, one of Australia’s first and most respected truffières. We visited the farm earlier this season, where Patrick and Tanya took us through their oak groves and gave us a glimpse into the care behind each harvest. The red volcanic soil and cool climate make for some of the finest truffles in the country, including a record-breaking 1.172kg truffle in 2014.
We’re proud to feature their truffles throughout our July specials. Try them shaved over any galette, or as the star of our La Périgord Galette, with prosciutto, brie, truffle butter, truffle-infused egg and salad tossed in truffle oil.
There’s also spiced mulled cider, our Paris-Brest Crêpe with hazelnut praline cream and grilled almonds, paired with Frangelico on ice to finish.
Truffle season is short and fleeting, come enjoy it while it lasts.
